Overview

VEDA is a luxury lab-grown diamond brand built for the Indian bride. Founded by Nikita Prasad, Veda was created for the bride to own the one occasion they always dreamt of - THEIR GRAND WEDDING.

The Indian lab-grown diamond category was talking to the everyday wearer spending years making the same argument more cleaner, ethical, accessible. And while others ran that race, they missed the biggest occasion in the room. The grand wedding & The Indian Bride in it.

VEDA came to us with an idea to build a affordable luxury, lab-grown diamond brand. We built every layer of it from strategy to store, giving LGD an emotional depth, cultural grounding, and visual grandeur that the Indian bride had always expected from her jewellery.

The Original Ask

In a world where youth culture is rewriting luxury, brands need to carve their own river to stand out. In jewellery, as lab-grown diamonds brought premium brilliance to the youth, Giva desired to enter this space to shape a realm of luxury that is fiercely, distinctly their own.

Opportunity Mapping

Lab-grown diamonds promise the pinnacle of luxury without the weight of the price tag. But in a landscape already saturated with the everyday and the occasional, what we needed was a sharp positioning that helps us sit between the mundane of everyday jewellery and elevate occasional jewellery - wedding market.

It is a space of heavy emotion and deliberate intent, where buyers crave purpose over just product. By narrowing our universe to this one monumental moment, we found a gap to unlock a stronger position and a sharper edge.

Customer Insight

Before defining our position, we mapped how different buyers actually feel about
lab-grown diamonds. Understanding that divide was the first step to finding where we belonged.

Positioning

Shaped by culture, cinema, and the rich weight of tradition, the modern Indian woman already knows the script for her wedding day. She doesn’t just want to be a bride; she wants to be the princess that everyone can’t take their eyes off. She craves the grandeur, the grace, and the absolute freedom to be completely herself at her most celebrated moment.

We positioned Veda to meet that exact desire. Turning away from the casual and the everyday, we dove deep into Indian heritage to create a direct line to the bride, building a brand engineered for the single, monumental occasion she intends to make unforgettable.

Moodboard

Heritage architecture, rooted traditions, and the visual language of royal Indian weddings all pulled together into a single, coherent world.

Identity

Veda’s identity was built the way the brand was: with deliberate intent and an eye for grandeur.

Early on, we audited the classic tropes, including geometric forms, standard floral motifs, and predictable typography. But they lacked the emotional weight we demanded.

The breakthrough came when we looked at an eternal symbol of palace life: the peacock. Radiant, commanding, and graceful, it is the visual twin to a bride on her wedding day. By anchoring this motif with rich, earthy tones borrowed from Indian royalty and a typeface that bridges heritage with sharp clarity, the final identity didn't just come together, it felt inevitable.

A Shagun for The Occasion

To build an identity worthy of the Indian bride, we knew Veda’s packaging had to move away from cold, disposable boxes and step into something far more soulful.

We saw an urgent need to honour the deep heritage of Indian traditions. This structural shift led us straight to the concept of shagun, which in Indian weddings is never a mere transaction, but an enduring blessing meant to be treasured forever. To capture that sentiment, we designed the Veda Shagun Box not as temporary wrapping, but as a tactile heirloom keepsake, rich in royal textures and warm with intentional detail.

Retail Experience

The retail experience was architected to feel just as monumental as the wedding day itself. Every texture, every surface, and every step of the bridal journey was curated to evoke absolute grandeur. In designing this space, no detail was left to chance, transforming a traditional store into an unforgettable, immersive ritual.

End to End Execution

On her wedding day, she is not just a bride, she is the story everyone came to witness. Veda is built to honour exactly that, from the first positioning decision to the last in-store detail, every touchpoint designed to keep her at the very centre of it all.

Raised ₹500 Crores

VEDA opened to an audience that had never been spoken to before. An audience the entire lab-grown industry had walked past, and raised ₹500 crores in investment worth believing in.

We built the brand from the ground up and gave it an identity and an experience that bridal shopping could finally relate to. Every decision was made with the bride in mind, the bride who always knew what she wanted but never had a brand that knew it too.
