Titan approached us to create a captivating Ugadi ad highlighting the diverse ways this festival is celebrated across India. A campaign that will highlight Ugadi's cultural significance and reinforce Titan’s brand identity, showcasing its dedication to tradition, craftsmanship, and the spirit of joy.
Recognising the unique opportunity to connect with a broader audience, we aimed to celebrate the vibrant festivals of Chaitra Navratri, Gudi Padwa, Bihu, Baisakhi, and Ugadi, all occurring simultaneously across India. Our approach was to creatively capture the essence of these celebrations in a way that resonates with today’s youth.
We came up with the “Be Selfie Ready” campaign, which beautifully captured the essence of the festival by intertwining it with the lively selfie culture. Our ads celebrated the joyful spirit of the festivities and engaged the audience, making them feel a personal connection to the celebrations. From ideation and storyboarding to costumes, production, and editing, all done in a week, we enhance ad conversions by translating them into regional languages and implementing hyper-local strategies.
Through our colourful and vibrant ad films, we highlighted Titan watches during the Ugadi festivities, ensuring they stood out in the celebrations. This engaging approach increased customer interaction with the brand, inspiring them to embrace the festive spirit and celebrate Ugadi in style with elegant Titan timepieces.
We took Titan's Ugadi campaign from ideation through storyboarding, costumes, filming and editing in one week, across five festival markets at once. That pace only works because the core idea travels. If every market needs its own concept, budget for considerably longer.
One core concept, locally adapted. We built a single idea for Titan and ran it across Ugadi, Chaitra Navratri, Gudi Padwa, Bihu and Baisakhi, rewriting each version in the regional language and rebuilding it with local detail. Five unrelated ads would have cost more and said less.
More than subtitles. For Titan we rewrote each cut in the local language and rebuilt it with hyper-local cultural detail, so a Bihu audience and a Baisakhi audience each saw a film made for their market rather than a dubbed pan-India version.
Cheaper, rarely better. A generic cut struggles during festive season because the occasion itself is regional. We gave Titan one concept with five locally adapted executions, which kept it culturally specific without multiplying production cost.
One that keeps the product inside the moment. Titan's "Be Selfie Ready" concept connected festival joy with India's selfie culture, which gave the watch a natural reason to be in frame instead of arriving as a product shot at the end.
